Day 1:

Arrival in Baku. Transfer to the hotel - City tour

Sightseeing tour of Baku, historical and architectural monuments of the city, panorama of the city of Baku Bay and the Upland Park. Visit to old city *Icherisheher-the inner city*. Icherisheher means the inner city. It was called the inner after the oil boom of the middle of the XIX century when the city stopped to hold in defense walls and left its limit.

Visit to Shirvanshakhs Palace, the symbol of Baku city The Maiden Tower, the Karavansaray.

In the evening walking tour along the central streets of the city and fountain square.

Day 2:

Baku - Gobustan - Ateshgah - Baku

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Gobustan, archaeological reserve situated on the slope of Big Caucasus Mountains. It is translated as "land of streams’’, "gubu" ravine and ,,stan’’- land. In this area you can see a lot of petroglyphs with images of animals like wild goats, deer, wild pigs, horses, lions , birds, fish, snakes etc.

Tour to Ateshgah "Fire Temple of Baku", located at the Apsheron peninsula at the outskirts of Surakhani village in 30 km from the center of Baku and was revered in different period by Zoroastrians, Hindus and Sikhs. Current constructions of the temple are dated by XVII century. During the archeological excavations the ancient artifacts were discovered here.

Day 3:

Baku - Shemakhi - Sheki

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Shamakhi. Visit to mausoleum of Yeddi Gumbez. Its magnificent domes rise above the silent and lonesome landscapes and create mysterious atmosphere.

Visit to Diri Baba. It was built on the rock and look like a big eagle nest.

Drive to Sheki. On the way visit to the village Kish, famous for its huge Christian architectural monument.

Day 4:

Sheki - Signagi - Bodbe Monastery - Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Sheki Han Palace and Sheki History Museum. Transfer to Azerbaijanian – Georgian Border. Passing the border formalities.

Drive to eastern part of Georgia Kakheti region, known almost exclusively for its vineyards and wineries.

Visit Signagi, ancient city, also known as the ,,City of Love'', with stone-paved streets and the balconies in old - Georgian style. It is one of the beautiful towns of Kakheti region At the elevation of about 790 m above sea level, the town overlooks the Alazani valley and faces the Greater Caucasus Mountains. The town is walled with the remnants of 18th century fortifications.

Visit Niko Pirosmani museum - gallery. Georgian wine testing.

Drive to Bodbe monastery. Originally built in the 9th century, it has been significantly remodeled in the 17th century. The monastery now functions as a nunnery and is one of the the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia.

Arrive to Tbilisi, check in the hotel.

Day 5:

Tbilisi City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Trinity Cathedral, Metekhi Church. Drive by cable way from Rike Park to Narilaka fortress, walk down from Narikala fortress to Sulfur baths visiting the carpet shop on the way.

Option: Opportunity to visit the famed sulphur baths and take spa procedures

Shopping time on Shardeni street and Mshrali Khidi (dry bridge)

Dinner in the restaurant from where a fantastique view opens on night Tbilisi.

Day 6:

Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta and visit its historical places: Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where the Robe of Christ is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Lunch in Mtskheta with traditional Georgian dishes. Drive back to Tbilisi. Time for shopping in Tbilisi Mall. Farewell dinner with the folk show in the restaurant.

Day 7:

Tbilisi - Kazbegi mountains - Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Kazbegi by crossing the “Jvari Pass” (2385 m. above the sea level). Explore the area – the beautifully situated on the hill.

Hire 4X4 vehicles to get to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, remarkable monument of Georgian architecture, near the village of Gergeti, situated at an elevation of 2170 meters, on the foothill of Mount Kazbegi (elevation 5033). 

Lunch at locals with opportunity to take part of culinary master class of Georgian Nation dish ,,Khinkali’’ making process

Drive back to Tbilisi.

Day 8:

Tbilisi – UNESCO monastery Haghpat - Dilijan “Armenian Switzerland” - Lake Sevan – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Georgian-Armenian border. Passing the border formalities. Trip to the northern Armenia, the magical place of forested mountains and deep canyons.

Visit to one of the masterpieces of Armenian medieval architecture - the monastery complex Haghpat (11th – 13th cc.), included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (2000)

Passing by to mountainous resort Dilijan, or so called “Armenian Switzerland”, which is well-known for its forests as well as for its mysterious flora and fauna.

Small walking city tour in Dilijan: visit to handicrafts’ street, where one can watch the preparation of different national souvenirs from wood, stone and ceramics.

During the drive you can enjoy the unbelievable change of the surrounding environment and land shaft from the dreen and rich forest mountains to the mountainous lake.

Drive to Lake Sevan, one of the wonders in Armenia. This blue lake is one of the greatest high mountainous freshwater lakes of Eurasia. On a clear and sunny day, the water is often of a deep turquoise colour. Total surface of the lake is 940 km2. The peninsula is the most popular destination to enjoy the breath-taking view on Sevan Lake, make pics for sweet memories and visit with the ancient Sevanavank Monastery (IX century), which stands in its greatness on the peninsula overlooking the lake for centuries.

Drive to Yerevan.

Day 9.

Yerevan City Tour

Breakfast in the hotel. Yerevan sightseeing including City center, Republic square, State University, City panorama, Parliament, President’s Palace, Opera, Mother of Armenia statute, Matenadaran - one of the world's largest depositories of ancient manuscripts, pride of Armenian culture. Depository’s collection holds about 17,000 manuscripts and includes almost all the areas of ancient and medieval Armenian culture and sciences, as well as manuscripts in Arabic, Persian, Greek, Syrian, Latin, Ethiopian, Indian, Japanese and others.

Visit to the Genocide Memorial, dedicated to the Victims of 1915 and the Genocide Museum.

Visit to Armenian carpet factory with possibility to watch the production of the rugs which involve dyeing of the yarns by using vegetable dyes, weaving, shearing, finishing, etc. The factory has showroom where purchases are offered (shipping of rugs to your country is possible)

Optional: photo session in (photo atelier or in the carpet factory) Armenian traditional and vintage costumes of different regions of historical Armenia with all its elements, ornaments and headscarves

Walk in the Cascade complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan, with art pieces displayed throughout the whole area: the boulevard and up the stairs, from top of which you can enjoy the panoramic view on the city and Mountain Ararat. Cascade is home to Cafesjan modern art museum. This place becomes even more charming in the evenings, when it is full of people, both locals and tourists from all over the world, enjoying the magic and the warmth of the capital. Visit to Armenian central market.

Day 10.

Vernissage - Garni - Geghard - Brandy Factory - Shopping in Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Vernissage, an open-air national crafts/art market functioning on the weekends.

Drive to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat (Arshakid Dynasty).

Photo stop at Charentc Arc from where a exciting view opens on Ararat mountain.

From Garni temple a beautiful view opens on Canyon of Garni -magnificent and outstanding scene which creates the image of falling crags. It obtained the name "Symphony of Stones" due to its view.

Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. It is now exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000).

Family hosted lunch in village house and watching of “Lavash” (Armenian traditional flat bread baked in stone-make oven) making process.

Drive back to Yerevan.

Visit to brandy factory with a tour around the factory and brandy tasting.

Take the opportunity spending time for pleasant tax free shopping: from luxury famous brands like Prada, Armani, Trussardi, to middle class chains of Zara, Mango, Morgan, etc., jewelry and precious stones shopping directly from the factories with cheaper then in the market prices.

Dinner in a local restaurant with folk show.

Day 11:

Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots - Ararat Valley - Khor Virap - Yerevan

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Etchmiadzin city that used to be the ancient capital of Armenia. Since 4th century, it is the largest religious center, the residency of Catholicos of All Armenians. The cathedral is one of the ancient churches in the Christian world, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (2000). It is the center of Armenian Apostolic Church. It was founded in 301 A.D. by St. Gregory the Illuminator. Drive to Zvartnots, a temple of Vigil Forces, built in 641—661 A.D., considered one of the architectural wonders and unique example of Armenian architecture of early Christian period. Тhe ruins of this cathedral still speak about the rare beauty of it. Drive to Ararat valley, visit to Khor Virap Church – the place of imprisonment of St. Gregory the Illuminator, who stayed here in the small dungeon for 13 years without any food, accused by the Armenian King of preaching Christianity. It is one of the holy places for the Christian world. It is also the best point to enjoy the most spectacular view of the gorgeous biblical mountain Ararat shining with its two white peaks.
