About Erebuni

Unearthed in 1950, Erebuni Fortress has revealed layers of ancient history through extensive excavations. Once a strategic hub for trade and commerce, the site now houses a museum with 12,235 artifacts, including Urartian cups, jars, bronze bracelets, and agate beads.

Among its treasures is the famous Erebuni inscription, a Urartian text marking the city’s founding. The museum also features a research library and hosts international conferences, making it a center for scholars and history enthusiasts alike.
