Hovhannes Shiraz House-Museum
QRQV+368, Gorki Street, GyumriThe Hovhannes Shiraz House-Museum, established in 1983 and opened in 2003, is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz. Located in a historic 1886 red-tuff building, it showcases the poet’s personal belongings, manuscripts, and creative works.
The museum features six rooms, including a recreation of Shiraz’s living space, exhibits on his childhood, and displays of his works, paintings, and sculptures. Notable items include archival documents and a painting by John Steinbeck.
In 2024, new exhibits were added in honor of Shiraz’s 110th anniversary, including rare archival documents from Shirak State University.
