Arrival in Yerevan and transfer to your hotel.
Check-in and time to relax after your journey, with the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy your first impressions of Armenia’s welcoming capital.

day 2

Yerevan City Walking Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on a guided walking tour to explore the highlights of Yerevan, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.

Your walk begins at the Cascade Complex, a true symbol of modern Yerevan and a vibrant center of contemporary art. This impressive architectural masterpiece combines open-air galleries, elegant stairways, striking sculptures, and beautifully landscaped terraces. From the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the city with Mount Ararat rising majestically in the background — a moment that will stay with you long after the journey ends.

The artistic atmosphere, charming cafés, colorful flowers, and lively streets create a unique blend of culture and relaxation. In the evening, both locals and visitors gather here to enjoy the warm and magical energy of the capital.

Continue your walk along Northern Avenue, a pedestrian boulevard connecting the Opera House with Republic Square, the heart of Yerevan. Visit the History Museum of Armenia, where you will gain valuable insight into the country’s rich heritage and ancient civilization.

Lunch will be served at a traditional Armenian restaurant, offering an authentic taste of local cuisine.

Yerevan – Havuts Tar Monastery – Garni Temple – Geghard – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for Garni, home to the only pagan temple in Armenia preserved from Antiquity. Dedicated to Mithra, the god of the sun, this elegant structure was built in the Greco-Roman style and is distinguished by its symmetrical columns. In ancient times, it served as the summer residence of the Arsacid royal dynasty.

Nearby, explore the remains of the royal palace and ancient bathhouses before setting off on a scenic hike through the Garni Gorge toward the ruins of the medieval Havuts Tar Monastery. The gorge is famous for its spectacular basalt rock formations, often referred to as the “Symphony of Stones”, creating a truly unique natural landscape.

Lunch will be hosted by a local Armenian family.
You will have the opportunity to observe the traditional preparation of lavash and taste this iconic Armenian flatbread fresh from the oven.

Continue to the rock-carved monastery of Geghard, one of the most impressive religious sites in the Caucasus. The name “Geghard,” meaning Spear, refers to the sacred lance that, according to tradition, pierced the side of Christ during the crucifixion. Today, the relic is preserved at the museum of the Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Return to Yerevan in the late afternoon.

Yerevan – Amaghu Canyon – Noravank Monastery – Goris

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart in the morning toward the village of Amaghu. From here, enjoy a scenic hike through the dramatic Amaghu Canyon, famous for its striking red rock formations, leading toward the spectacular Noravank Monastery.

Visit Noravank Monastery (13th–14th centuries), considered one of the most beautiful monastic complexes in Armenia. Set against towering cliffs, its harmonious architecture and serene surroundings make it a highlight of the journey.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the renowned Areni wine region, enjoy a tasting of local red wine. Areni is one of Armenia’s most important centers of winemaking and has gained worldwide recognition thanks to recent archaeological discoveries. In 2010, archaeologists uncovered a 6,100-year-old wine cellar, currently regarded as the oldest known winery in the world.

Continue by road to Goris, a charming town in southern Armenia.

Goris – Ltsen – Tatev Monastery – Goris

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for the village of Ltsen, where today’s trek begins. Enjoy a scenic hike to Tatev Monastery (9th–13th centuries), spectacularly perched on the edge of a vast gorge. From the monastery, breathtaking panoramic views unfold over the surrounding landscapes.

Tatev was once the most important intellectual and spiritual center of medieval Armenia, and remains one of the country’s most iconic landmarks.

After the visit, return via the famous “Wings of Tatev” cable car, the world’s longest non-stop reversible aerial tramway, stretching 5.7 km across the gorge and offering unforgettable aerial views.

Overnight in Goris

day 6

Goris – Vardenyats (Selim) Pass – Noraduz – Lake Sevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart toward Lake Sevan, the largest freshwater lake in Armenia, traveling via the scenic Vardenyats Pass, also known as the Selim Pass.

En route, stop at the Orbelian Caravanserai (14th century), an important monument of the ancient Silk Road, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Continue to Noraduz (Noratus), home to the famous “Forest of Khachkars” — an extraordinary collection of Armenian cross-stones dating from the 9th to the 16th centuries.

After lunch at a traditional restaurant, visit Sevanavank Monastery (9th century), beautifully situated on a peninsula and offering magnificent views over the blue waters of Lake Sevan.

day 7

Lake Sevan – Lake Parz - Goshavank Monastery – Dilijan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart toward Lake Parz (Clear Lake), traveling through the deep, lush forests of Dilijan National Park. Enjoy time by this small emerald-green lake, surrounded by tranquil nature, with a leisurely walk along the lakeshore.

Optional: A coffee break on a pleasant covered terrace equipped with tables and chairs.

Continue with a forest hike to Goshavank Monastery. Emerging unexpectedly from the dense woodland, the monastery offers a truly breathtaking view. This medieval complex evokes a magical, almost forgotten world, hidden deep within nature.

Overnight in Dilijan

Dilijan – Sanahin & Haghpat Monasteries (UNESCO) – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for northern Armenia, a captivating region characterized by forested mountains and deep, dramatic gorges. Begin with a visit to Sanahin Monastery (10th–13th centuries), one of the finest examples of medieval Armenian architecture.

From Sanahin, enjoy a scenic hike through wild forests and beautiful alpine meadows, following a picturesque landscape that leads to Haghpat Monastery. Hidden among rolling hills, Haghpat appears as a masterpiece perfectly integrated into its natural surroundings.

Both Sanahin and Haghpat Monasteries are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are considered outstanding monuments of Armenian medieval architecture.

Continue by road back to Yerevan.

Yerevan – Kari Lake – Mount Aragats Summit - Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for Mount Aragats (4,090 m), the highest peak in Armenia. Drive up to Kari Lake, located at an altitude of 3,207 m, surrounded by vast alpine meadows and colorful mountain flowers, offering unforgettable views.

From here, begin the ascent to the southern summit of Mount Aragats (3,879 m). From the top, enjoy spectacular panoramas of snow-capped peaks and breathe in the pure, refreshing mountain air.

Lunch will be served in a charming garden featuring organic, locally sourced food.

Return to Yerevan in the afternoon.

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner accompanied by a traditional folklore show, celebrating Armenian culture and hospitality.
